About Split State Cupcake [Reviews]

     10 miles.  That's how far apart we live from each other, but we didn't meet each other until we were 24 years old.  We like to think we were separated at birth and our love of teeth brought us together.  We were classmates in the dental hygiene program at Indiana University Northwest and we graduated in May 2013.  It wasn't until June of the same year that we both realized our passion and love for cupcakes.  We met every Thursday for our "cupcake date," where we split a cupcake and critiqued it without realizing it! 

Split State cupcake was founded in September 2013.  Due to the fact that we live 25 miles away from Chicago, we decided to go with the name "Split State" for Indiana and Illinois (we live in Indiana).
